Celebration of the Launch of Powerb@seEngines in Hong Kong, 09 Jan 2001

Powerb@seEngines(PbE) was launched by Powerb@se of PCCW, Shell Electric Manufacturing (Holdings) Company Limited, and ASPEngines, Inc. on 9 January 2001 at 14/F Hongkong Telecom Tower. PbE is a joint venture between these three outstanding companies working closely together to introduce ASPEngines' technology in providing computer resources as a service.

The launching ceremony at the conference was officiated by Mr. William Cheung, Group Chief Operation Officer, PCCW; Mr. Joseph Ma, President of PCCW Internet Data Centers; Dr. Steve Chen, Chairman of ASPEngines; Mr. Pip Smith, CEO of ASPEngines and Mr. Billy Yung, Group Managing Director of Shell Electric Manufacturing Holding Co. Ltd.

Over 150 guests including our valued customers and press were attended and all of them were impressed of our advanced compute resources on demand 24x7, and the flexibility to pay for only what is used due to a breakthrough service dubbed 'Neutility'.
